The Aqualisa Incalux Thermostatic Cartridge (grey) 022801IX (Gold Screws) is a replacement cartridge for the following showers:- Aquatique victorian thermostatic 1991 - current Includes Incalux Screw pack and Gasket One way to determine if this cartridge is for your shower is by checking the plastic ring that is located at the front of the cartridge this ring should be Dark Grey or Black in colour. The secret of Aqualisa's Thermo showering technology is an ingenious bi-metallic coil. The coil reacts almost immediately to changes in water temperature. SO as hot and water flows into the Thermo shower the bi-metallic coil is constantly adjusting and re-adjusting its length to maontain a perfect temperature. Even better the coil resists the build-up of limescale and as a result maintains an optimum flow rate. Suitable for the majority of UK domestic plumbing systems - including gravity-fed combination boiler and mains fed - Thermo showers are as hard-working and durable today as when they were introduced by Aqualisa. Of course we've refined them a little along the way - but essentially its the same ground-breaking technology that caused a splash over thirty years ago.
