The RM Intercyl indirect cylinders make a competent and reliable companion for any standard boiler. The high efficiency, quick recovery coils make this cylinder perfect for even the busiest homes, ensuring long lasting hot water stores in a unit that has been built to last. The internal airgap/expansion chamber allows the unit to be installed without the use of an external expansion vessel. The airgap is managed by a specially designed and crafted floating baffle. When the unit is commissioned and filled with water, the baffle traps a separate air pocket in the dome of the unit which acts as the working expansion. As the cylinder heats, expands and cools the baffle rises and falls in line with these changes allowing pressure to be absorbed. The baffle moves up and down internally on a dip tube that also acts as the hot draw off pipe allowing excellent delivery of water to all taps and showers.
