The concept of the macerator pumps available is simple - they reduce waste to liquid form and discharge via small bore pipework to a soil stack or sewer that could be several metres away. This gives you much greater flexibility if you are planning an extension or new en-suite than traditional plumbing would allow. Most macerators operate automatically when the cistern is flushed. They are quiet and economical to use and connect to standard domestic electricity supply.
