Barrier Pipe

What is barrier pipe? This is a pipe made of plastic that is either: polyethylene or polybutylene consisting of 5 layers- one being the metal, aluminium - barrier layer. This pipe is used in heating and plumbing systems, that carry water. It is produced with a barrier in the centre of the 5 layers that is blue in colour and that manages to shut out oxygen, therefore stopping the likelihood of corrosion. It also protects against contamination, stopping the water supply from becoming at risk. This barrier is normally made of a material of resin that is bound between the inner and outer coatings of the pipe,
